We clean and disinfect the wound and tried to flap the skin back. However, concern that M will tug the dangling skin off; we took him to a clinic to have a dressing done. M has a phobia of going to the doc and when he reached the entrance, he started wailing. When in the doc’s room, he cried till he turns blue; more from the fear of the doc than the pain. Half and hour later, he ripped the dressing off. Thus I tape the skin with a plaster. The next morning, he peels the plaster off. Sigh.Since there was no sign of pain, we douse medicated oil over it. He cried briefly and carried on his life. Still concern over the dangling skin, K decides to cut it off thus exposing his raw skin.
The lesson learnt is that M is more afraid of the doc than pain.
