Brotherhood rocks

They play, they fight, they share, they love. They can't stand each other but the first thing they ask when they get home is "Where is my brother?"

X'mas tree is up

The boys can't wait. And this year, I got to put up the star for being a good girl.

Scrapped knee

J was accidentally pushed by a school mate while getting on the school bus.

He endured all the way home before bursting into tears while having his afternoon snacks.

This is the 2nd time he fell and scrapped his knee.

Turning 40

When I bought my 1st insurance policy 21 years ago, the agent asked me at what age would I want to retire. I said 40.

For some reasons, I've always wanted to be 40. At 40 one should have achieve financial, social and spiritual stability. 40 is the age of liberty and wisdom. Liberty to do what I want with life. Wisdom to do what is right.

Today I turn 40.

How does it feels like crossing this milestone? Am I any different from being 39? I guess not as the years before have prepared me to be who I am today. Will I be different tomorrow? Probably yes because I still have so much ahead of me. So much unknown and possibilities.

At 40, I've finally come of age contented with the fact that I have a husband who loves me despite my insanity, insecurities and idiosyncrasies. I have 2 sons who will further shape the kind of legacy I would like to leave behind. My parents though aging are still healthy and with me. I have friends who will not judge me for my actions and will pick up my 2am calls "to just bitch".

At 40, my life has just begun.

Growing up

J is going on his 1st unchaperoned play date at his classmate's house today.

On Monday, upon getting permission from me that he can accept the invitation, he wrote a note to his friend and made arrangement with the school bus lady to drop him off at his classmate's house.

His classmate's mum called me and made arrangement and even invited him to stay for dinner.

My little baby is growing up.

Upon hearing what his brother is doing, Matt wants to invite his friends to our house. :)

All I want for Chinese New Year is ......

Due to a slight decay and a probable fall, M had to have his front tooth removed. After confirming that he really want to do so, off to the dentist we went.

After settling down on the dentist chair and explaining the procedure to him, the dentist begins to numb his tooth and pulled it out with a plier.

My brave little M did not flinch to the surprise of the dentist.
