God sent to us an angel

God sent to me an angel,
it had a broken wing.
I bent my head and wondered
“How could God do such a thing?”

When I asked the Father
why He sent this child to me,
the answer was forthcoming,
He said “Listen and you’ll see.”

“My children are all precious,
and none is like the rest.
Each one to me is special,
and the least is as the best.
I send each one from Heaven
and I place it in the care
of those who know my mercy,
those with love to spare.

Sometimes I take them back again.
Sometimes I let them stay.
No matter what may happen
I am never far away.

So if you find an angel
and you don’t know what to do,
remember, I am with you,
love is all I ask of you.”

J often tells me about his special-needs classmate, L. J says that L doesn't really know how to talk and is still learning.

While I was having a conversation with Ms Yap, J's teacher, she told me that she had seeked J's help to keep an eye over L because J is mature and responsible. When I came to know of this, I am very proud.

God, thank you for sending to us an angel to teach us that we have enough love to go around. And thank you for sending me my very own mature and responsible angel.

Being politically correct

J made a mess of the house and this is my conversation with him.
Mum: J, look at what you've done. Now I have to clean up your mess?
J: Why do you have to say "your mess"?
Mum: Because you created it, thus it is your mess.
J: Mum, you can always say "the mess" instead of "your mess".

Labour of love

This is the 1st DIY project that K and I did for our home.

As we've been living with K's parents before we moved out, all home improvement task was carried out by K's dad. My FIL is very good at keeping the house in tip top condition. In the bathroom where my MIL does the laundry, there is even a ventilation fan that was installed by my FIL!

Now that K and I have our own home, we need to take on the responsibility of maintaining our home. After moving in for 7 months, we finally put up the racking in the storage cupboard. I had wanted to get a customised shelf but it would have cost $700. It only cost us $100+ to put up these simple DIY shelves.

We didn't have any distraction as the kids are with my ILs so it made it much easier for K and I to work together. While he does all the hard work of drilling, I was his Vanna White; handing him the tools he need to complete the task. Though it was hard work but I was happy to have this chance of doing something together with my husband.
