Bespectacled Mr Sonshine
M gamely allowed me to put on this pair of toy spectacle and have his pictures taken. I laughed my butt off. Obviously M don't think it is funny.
I am sure this is one of those photos he would not allow me to show his girlfriend(s) when he grows up.

Turning back time
I've been trying to grow M's hair long hoping that we can tame those curls. However, after a few months, those curls seems to have a life of their own and simply refuse to "sit" down.
With the humid months coming up, I made the decision to shave off M's hair. The result is a M that looks a few months younger.
Makes me wonder if by updating my hairstyle, how much younger will I look?

The farm that Daddy built
K "built" a farm for J and it is one of the nicest creation he has ever done. In fact, I think it looks even nicer than the one that I've built.
I think I have just discovered K's artistic talent. He does have a flair for taking nice pictures and maybe due to his engineering background, he is good with construction toys.
It is nice to know that even after so many years together, I am still able to discover new things abt him.

Apple of my eye
J started playgroup last Monday. I made it as low-key as possible so as not to cause any stress or anxiety unto him. I was prepared for the crying as I know over time, he will get used to it. The crying lasted for abt 3 days and by the 4th day, he has gotten quite used to his new environment and was more co-operative in getting up and going to the playgroup.
This week was a good week. He only cried on Monday as he was tired and reluctant to get out of bed. Feedback from the teachers has been positive so far and he is making new friends and quite chatty in class.

Feedback from the teachers has been positive so far and he is making new friends and quite chatty in class. When I picked him up from playgroup this afternoon, he showed me a piece of artwork he has done. It was a piece of an apple drawing which he colored. I know he must have received a lot of help from the teacher but still very proud that the apple of my eye is growing up and is starting to learn new things in a formal way and environment.
Stupid mistake
I made a stupid mistake yesterday. I booked the wrong flight time for my upcoming trip to HK.
K is returning home this coming monday while I am scheduled to fly off. As his flight will touch down early in the morning, I was intending to take the late afternoon flight so that we at least get to spend a few hours together after 2 weeks of absence.
However, by mistake I have booked the 8am flight out which means we may miss each other totally. It was neglience on my part for not checking the confirmation carefully. I contacted CX to make the changes but they insisted that it was a special fare and any changes would cost S$75! They stood firm despite my protest. After the heated exchange with the call agent from CX, hot tears actually rolled down my checks.
I really don't know how can I make such a stupid mistake and I am very angry with myself.
K, I am sorry that my stupid mistake cost us the chance of meeting before I go away for 1 week. I hope that we have the chance to at least meet in the airport. I miss you very much.

At the playground
Although J is not a very active child but like all kids, he loves the playground.Whenever I visit my parents, if the weather is good, I would take him to the playground and let him have some fun.
Previously when we went there, he was really conscious of the other kids around and didn’t dare to wander away from me. However, the last time we went, there was no one around and he played with no constrain. I was surprised at how agile he became when he started climbing the steps and going down the slide. I was so surprised that I even sent an mms to his dad who was out of town.
From the pixs, I am sure you can see that he really enjoyed himself.

The record has been broken
Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget, I will not forget you!
Isaiah 49:15
It has been more than 48 hours since I used my breastpump. I think I can set it out on the drying rack and put it back into the storage box.
It also means M has officially broken J’s breastfeeding record. The new record set is 10 months 9 days. I am really glad that I persevered and kind proud of myself everytime I see how well M is thriving. My ego is further inflated by the amount of frozen breastmilk that fills the freezer.

Baby M, I hope that when you grow up and read this post, you will realized the amount of love I have for you cause of all the tasks a mother has to do, this is the toughest; yet it is a task that no one else can perform.
