This is one of my favourite song. One of my ex-staff shared this link with me.
I turn to it and use it as a prayer to God when I need strength or when I am troubled.
No, I am not troubled today but I just want to share this song so that whoever needs it will be bless and be encouraged by it.

The day when months became year
Today in the lift, someone asked me how old M is. Out of habit, I was going to say 12 months but realized I could say 1 year.1 year ago, on a Fri morning, I had to induce him as the amniotic fluid was too low and he was getting lethargic in his movement. After 16 hrs of waiting, he is finally out. Till now, I can still vividly recall how warm he felt in my arms.
With J, I can clearly remember what happened in every month; with M, the months simply speed by me. My bond with M has strengthened over the months. He now knows how to seek my attention and when he sees me hugging his brother, he will come towards me and wants to be hug to.
Although M has grown bigger in size and it is getting harder to cradle him in my arms, I continue to cradle him in my heart.

Breakfast in the House of Toh
The 2 bros simply refuses to share anything. If one has a toy, the other one would snatch it away. And it is not only J who does the snatching, M would do it too. But being of a smaller built, M is smart enough to wait for an opportune time to do so.
In this pix, it may seems like they are sharing the pillow for a change but this can only co-exist if they each lie at at each end instead of side by side.

J&M's birthday blast off
Celebrated J & M's birthday at the Grassroots' Club. It has a indoor playscape facility which means we adults can enjoy some time of peace while the kids run wild.
We arrived at 11am to put up some simple deco while expecting the guests to arrive any time after 11.30am. J wasn't happy and keep insisting on going home but when Clayton arrives, his mood turns for the better.
By 12 noon, the guests start to arrive and the kids are happily running around. The party has officially blasted off!

End of Term 1 2009
School's out and J gets 1-week break from playgroup. Makes me wonder what is so tiring about playing that you need a week's break. By now, he has gotten to the routine and me to the peacefulness in the morning. I am sure you can hear from my tone that I am not looking forward to next week.
Another reason why I like it when he goes to playgroup are the handicrafts that he brings back. It does seems quite creative and everyday when he comes home, I have to admit that I secretly hope that he brings back another of those handicrafts.

The 1st handicraft he brought home was the apple, followed by a man made out of used tissue-box, then a basket of fruits made out of paper plate and a catepillar with brushes for its feelers and legs.
I also look forward to his progress report where the teacher will list out what was taught that week and how he is progressing. When he first brought the report home, most of it was marked as "NP", not for "no problem" but for "need practice". Now, he has progressed to "G" for "good".

Mr Sonshine 1-year old photoshoot
M turns 1 on 28 Mar. To commemorate the event, we had a photoshoot done by Wai Peng from Foto U.
We arrived at 1pm and had some difficulty locating the studio. After going round in circles for a few times, some how we landed up in a parking lot in front of the studio. We were greeting by WP at the door. The studio was a simple, cosy set up in Joo Chiat and the minute we step in, the kids were drawn towards all the toys which the studio uses as props during the photoshoot. Well, at least that took care of the warming up part since M is still in the stranger-anxiety phase.
After a quick synch up with WP on the direction of the photoshoot, she started by playing with J so that he gets into the comfort zone. Although J seems relax but when WP started shooting, J tries to hold back his smile. Thus in the early part of the photos, J was pretty stiff. After seeing that M has settled down nicely, she begins taking pix of M but J keeps trying to get in the way!
Although the photoshoot was for 1 hr but we ended up using 3 hours as J was holding back his smile while M was moving all over the place and only wanting certain props. WP was very accommodating to stretch the photoshoot to ensure that we have nice pixs of the kids relaxed and looking natural which they ultimately did.
In these 3 hours, we cajole, instruct, pose, ran, jump, swing, carried but most importantly, we had fun. As well as a lasting memories of my little sonshine on digital film.

He is faithful to his Covenant
12 And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:
13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,
15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.
16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.
Genesis 9: 12-16
For that, I am deeply grateful and I stand in awe of the Creator for creating something so beautiful.
